and in the middle of Yamanashi Pref. and Nagano Pref.
The Yatsugatake mountains run 30kms(48miles) from north to south and 15kms
from east to west. The highest mountain in the Yatsugatake range is Mt.Akadake

There are mainly four towns located at the southern foot of Yatsugatake(Yamanashi
Prefectural side). They are Takane, Oizumi, Nagasaka and Kobuchisawa. This
area draws many tourists throughout the year who come to enjoy the beautiful
nature. Our activity is mainly centered in this area, where we can observe
a variety of wildlife. |
